BoardANSM's Board of Directors has been working hard on behalf of the ANSM membership in recent months. Ensuring policies are current and relevant, supporting the work of new Managing Director, Anita Price, grappling with on going organisational renewal activities, staff evaluation and returning Passage to ANSM administration have all been part of recent undertakings.

President, Pauline Thomson, takes the lead and ensures the various activities are followed through on. Board members share  the work load as well as act as representatives for their regions. Nominations, Human Resource policies, financial management and office refurbishment are just a few areas of administration and operations in which board members have been active.

The New Year means its time to start  planning for board succession at the Spring 2010 AGM elections.

BoardBoard and committee participation is an important way members ensure they have a strong, relevant and resilient organisation. Its does represent a time commitment and a certain amount of work, but in exchange members gain knowledge on how their organisation works, build working relationships with colleagues in the same field, increase their knowledge and experience about heritage issues on a provincial & national level and enhance skills relevant to their work/volunteer positions.

In many ways, serving on the ANSM Board & committees can be looked on as investing in yourself as much as it is supporting your provincial association.

Enid Cooper is the Board member responsible for the Nominations Committee. Get in touch with Enid - she's waiting to hear from you.....
