Association Of Nova Scotia Museums Membership Policy And Procedures

Preamble

The ANSM is an organization that exists to serve its members.  The museum community is its primary focus . Organizations and individuals who support the association’s vision and mission may join.  Purchase of a membership initiates a contract between the organization and the member that lasts for one year.

Membership Dues

• Museum Member - $50.00 per year
• Organization Member - $50.00 per year
• Individual Member (Annual) - $25.00 per  year
• Individual Member (Lifetime) - $250.00
• Individual Member (Student) - $15.00 per year

Membership Year

The Membership year begins on June 1 and concludes on May 31 of the following year.

Membership Renewal

Membership renewal notices will be sent out in early May with a follow-up reminder notice in early August.

Membership Identification

Museum members are listed on the ANSM website with links to their institutional websites. Members may log-in to the calendar section of the website to enter their events using their contact e-mail (this feature currently under development).

Membership non-renewal by deadline

If a membership is not renewed within 90 days of the renewal deadline (August 31)”, ANSM member benefits will not apply and access to the “Members Only”  features on the website will be suspended.
